The pieces, mid-job

This is what came out of them
This is the extraction water from these chairs. Nothing was added to make it look dramatic — that colour is body oil, skin cells, food residue and airborne grease that had been building up in the fibre. It is the single most convincing argument for cleaning upholstery that “looks fine”, and it is why we show it to every customer before we pack up.

Why tufted fabric needs a different approach
Buttons and tufting create dozens of small pockets where soil collects and where a normal upholstery tool cannot reach. Run too much moisture into them and water pools behind the button, then wicks back up as a dark ring once the piece dries. On this chair every button seam was worked individually with a detail tool, then extracted with controlled moisture so nothing was left sitting in the hollows.
The round chair has the opposite problem: one large unbroken panel where any uneven drying shows instantly. It was cleaned in overlapping passes across the whole surface so the colour stayed uniform, rather than spot-treating the middle and leaving a halo.
